Packaging for HolyCorn! by Openmint Studio

“This is the concept for the HolyCorn! company which provides healthy and yet tasty popcorn. Our idea was to design the cute and funny character who describes the product very emotionally and reveals its advantages in a funny manner. We created the cute baby-popcorn and embed it into the logo. The Pantone inspired colors also emphasize the bold and cocky spirit of the brand.”

Openmint is an international branding and design studio working all around the world. They enjoy working with people who share their values — people who are open-minded and passionate about what they do. It’s very important for them not to damage the environment and the society by their actions and their work.

Brand Identity for Love Tea by The Company You Keep

”Love Tea came to us as a humble brand with a respect for organic, therapeutic ingredients. They conveyed this through illustrative and floral packaging that resonated with their target audience, but wasn’t allowing the brand to thrive in a crowded market. Throughout our research we saw shelf after shelf of colourful, loud packaging with nifty flavour names. In contrast, we wanted to convey that drinking tea is about finding a moment of peace. An exhale. Inspired by this philosophy, we created a refined, calm brand identity.”

The Company You Keep is a design led creative practice based in Melbourne Australia. They work where brand strategy and design thinking meet to help businesses distill, define and articulate what they do and why they do it. They use design to connect businesses to their audiences in meaningful ways that garner tangible returns, regardless of the medium. They choose to work with ambitious businesses because, as they say, they are the company you keep.

    DesignThinkers

Advertising agency Rethink worked with the RGD on an event theme and visual concept that would look just as fresh at the annual DesignThinkers Toronto conference (November 7 and 8, 2017) as it did on May 30 and 31 in Vancouver. The team came up with “Perspectives,” which nods not only to the varied speakers in the conference lineup, but to design itself.

As a brand-new event, the West Coast version had some additional requirements. “In the past, the RGD has promoted the conference mostly through posters mailed to members and previous attendees,” says Hans Thiessen, creative director at Rethink. “But there’s not many members here, so [the campaign] needed to be more social.”
